“Houston We Have A Problem”
Posted by admin23 on February 17, 2010
Two weeks ago the bf replaced the old soggy floor in my bathroom, it went well…and my daughter and I were real troopers about using the makeshift outhouse on the back porch…yes gross, but whatever. ..We were under the impression that all was golden until last weekend when I was shredding some paperwork over in a deserted corner of the house…when I noticed a puddle of water UNDER my bookcase, and spreading out onto my hardwood floor…fear gripped my beating heart. I tried to be positive about it…It’s nothing I told myself for the rest of the day. The bf came home and we were soon to find out…it was worse…and we have yet to find out how much worse…He has snaked every single drain opening in the entire house with a 25 ft. snake…to no avail…even punching a hole in the kitchen sink pipe…which had to be replaced along with the leaky pipe in the bathroom…We have/He has determined that its in the drain pipe for the washing machine…where the clog is we have no idea…I think he is going to get a bigger snake and try again to dislodge the problem. I got off work early yesterday and spent the day cleaning up the mess left from one room to the next, and until the washer problem is solved the daughter and I did laundry the other day by filling buckets of water when the washer started to drain and emptying them out under my rose bush…I am thankful that I use a laundry product that is not harmful to the environment. I don’t plan on doing this forever, but for the time being I can’t think of anything else to do.
